The Six Thinking Hats ® - de Bono

The Problem
Picture yourself in a meeting that goes on too long and achieves very little.  Sound familiar?  And, why is this?  Often it is because the time is spent with attendees trying to bring others round to their point of view using traditional methods of argument.  This typically results in lots of discussion, sometimes confrontation, usually several bruised egos and occasionally, but not always, a solution.  Wouldn’t it be great if there were a different way?

The Solution
This is where Dr Edward de Bono’s Six Thinking Hats
® comes in.  It is a Parallel Thinking method that encourages people to consider each point of view side by side in order to decide how best to move forward.  It is based on co-operation, exploration and co-ordination.  It is non confrontational, effective and productive and e-client can introduce you to this Six Thinking Hats technique and its application.  Meetings and discussions will never be the same again!

“Sometimes the situation is only a problem because it is looked at in a certain way. Looked at in another way, the right course of action may be so obvious that the problem no longer exists.”
